This page explains how LOUWIETEC handles personal data when you visit this website. We do not run trackers, we do not set marketing cookies, and we do not share visitor data with third parties.

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Content is delivered through GitHub's global CDN, which routes requests via edge servers located outside the EU, including in the United States. This involves a transfer of personal data (your IP address and request metadata) to the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which GitHub is certified, in combination with the standard contractual clauses incorporated into GitHub's Data Protection Agreement. Server log data

When you load a page, GitHub's infrastructure records technical information: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer, and user agent. These logs are processed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for security and operational purposes. Retention is governed by GitHub's policies, since we do not host the server ourselves. We do not access or analyse these logs.

Cookies and local storage

We do not set tracking cookies. The site uses one localStorage entry called "louwietec_lang" to remember your language preference (EN or DE). It is technically required for the language toggle and is not shared with anyone.

Fonts

Inter and Playfair Display are served directly from this domain. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any other external font service. Your IP address is not transmitted to Google for typography.

External services

The smooth-scrolling library Lenis is loaded from the jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). When the script is fetched, your IP address is transmitted to jsDelivr. We do not embed analytics, advertising networks, social-media trackers, or any other third-party services.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. To exercise any of these, write to Office@louwietec.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, DSB), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna.
